Ingeciber S.A. & MSC Software Announce
New Release of CivilFEM® 2019
powered by Marc®

June 18, 2019

General purpose finite element software for civil, structural and geotechnical engineering.

Madrid, Spain–(June 18, 2019) – MSC Software Corporation and Ingeciber S.A., a specialized civil engineering CAE company with more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering today announced the new release of CivilFEM®2019, powered by Marc® .

CivilFEM® 2019 powered by Marc®  is a very powerful and versatile program suitable for all the types of advanced analyses performed in all construction sectors, providing a rich set of tools and unique capabilities that streamline the creation of analysis models for Construction, Dams, Forensic Structural Analysis, Seismic design, Soil-structure interaction, Foundations, Tunnels, Rock and soil mechanic analyses, Skyscrapers, Geotechnics, Mining, Energy, Oil&Gas, Precast, Power Plants: Nuclear, Hydraulic… or any other Civil Engineering major infrastructure.

This release empowers customers to solve the toughest design challenges for civil, structural and geotechnical engineering and to do more with simulation in less time through enhancements to our new pre-processing and post-processing tools.

For more details about the new release, please visit our YouTube Channel: Video New Features Presentation

Several new pre-processing tools have been included like the ability to define different cross sections by zones and tapered cross sections, various improvements on geometry importation/exportation, generic concrete section defined by points and the new advanced cohesive contact type (contact stiffness defined as a function of relative displacement) wich allows modelling, for instance, the bond slip behaviour.

In terms of solver capabilities, we are pleased to highlight the addition of the new features of pore water pressures defined for each load case by different results files from seepage analysis, and the valuable “Hoek & Brown” material model for rock modelling in the field of geotechnics.

CivilFEM 2019 also offers great improvements in the post-processing, such us improved and consistent performance  for the generation of results files, improvement of the calculation of the effective reinforcement ratio for Eurocode 2 crack check or The ability to plot the Results average  across structural elements or not.
